E-36 M3 Purch. Decision, Sport vs Luxo?

I'll be buying a '95 or '96 E-36 M3 in the next few days (I hope).

I'm trying to decide whether to go with a car with the Luxury package or 
stick to a more sporting, base equipped model.

I wonder if you all can answer some of my questions and share your 
opinions with me. I plan to use the car as a daily driver, autocross it 
about 6 time a year, and maybe track the car once every two years or so. 
I plan to keep the car at least 7 years.

Do cars with the Lug. pkg. have any different suspension components?

What is the weight difference between a base equipped car vs. Lug. pkg.?

What are the tradeoffs and weight differences of the cast alloys vs. 
forged alloys vs. M-Contour wheels?

Mileage being equal, would a '96 model be preferred over a '95 model?

I hope these newbie questions aren't too annoying. If they are all 
addressed elsewhere on the net, let me know.
