RE: <E28> Bavarian Autosport control arm bushing tool

fine. It requires an 18 inch ratchet etc. Not the easiest tool to use
because of the nut torque required. Besides the torque difficulty, the
bushing wants to twist as it is pressed in and you will need to tighten the

Subject: <E28> Bavarian Autosport control arm bushing tool
Hi Everyone,
Has anybody used the upper control arm (thrust arm) bushing tool listed in
the Bavarian Autosport catalog (spring-summer 2000, page 15, $174.95) on
their E28? Looks like a good idea so as not to have to pull the arm at the
wheel (hassle) and take it to someone with a press (more hassle), but is it
strong enough to do the job and not self-destruct?
Thanks for the help,
Joe Gilmore
