<E30> MPG questions

I have been driving my 1988 325is for two months now. The car is awesome. I
must look like an idiot as am always sporting a big grin every time I hit
the freeway. I have also noticed my freeways speeds have gone way up from my
528e days. However, I am getting a steady 20 miles per gallon on the
average. Is this about right or is there something I should look into? you
can reply off list as this was discussed before I think.
