clutch problem!!

I'll tell the rest the story later but till then I need you help figuring 
this out. When I push the clutch even just a little bit I hear a whirring 
sound likes somethign is spinning against something else. maybe metal on 
metal contact. The car still shifts just the same as it always has, I have 
reason to believe that this may be the work of vandals as I after 18 miles 
of town driving noticed that my oil had been drained out, it took almost 4 
quarts to shut off the warning light.
