storing BMW 3-5years

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone in this circle has any suggestions or experience 
that can be shared with me with respect to storing a car for anywhere from 
3-5years.

Due to a work order ( i know this is a problem for all of us ) I will be 
going overseas and have no other choice, but leaving my car stored in a 
storage place. My car is 89 635csi and has 112K miles so far. It is an 
excellent shape in and out.

The question is - do I just leave a car as is ? I understand that I need to 
disconnect a battery cable and I know that much. Do I need to lift a car, so 
that suspension can be " saved ? " a little ? How about Oil in engine, 
transmission, deff. etc. The car will not be started at all during these 
years. Or should the car started once or twice a year ? The car can not be 
taken out, because it will have no insurance...

If anyone can make some suggestions here I would very much appreciate it.
