Air Bag Light

The interior that I bought to replace the parts that were stolen from my 97
M3 coupte came from a 96 M3 coupe. The Air Bag Sensor plugs on the seats
are different than those for the 97. Does anyone know away around this
problem. If I ignore the plugs, will the air bag still work for both
driver and passenger.
