Subject: E34 Catalytic converter
Looking for suggestions on sourcing catalytic converter for 92 525i.
Prefer stock but don't want to pay the price.
Thanks

~~~~~ All you have to do is get a generic catalytic converter for a car that
is roughly 20% larger engine displacement than your car's engine. Typically,
if you have a 2.5 litre, you get a cat made for a 2.8 or 3.0 litre (allows
better breathing). Any muffler shop can show you huge catalogs of aftermarket
cats' they can order and sell/install.You simply weld on the BMW style
flanges if the generic cat has different one's.
Also be sure to look where the O2 sensors are on your car, and the choices
for the generic cat. Should only cost about $150-$200.
