Subject: E28 Shimmy
I have an '86 528e with 176k. When I apply my brakes I get the worst
shimmy I have ever felt. I checked the rotors for runout and found they
are far from warped concidering they are new. I have no clue what could be
causeing this shimmy. I need to get it fixed though, it driving me crazy!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestion: Have you checked the mounting bolts on the front calipers? One
of the two bolts on the caliper disappeared in my car and it caused the same
problem as yours. In another case, there was a bubble on one of the front
tire and it caused continuous shimmy on the steering wheel. Good luck.
