A similar thing happened to me years ago in a 260Z. The turn signals
became very sensitive to the electrical load -- the rate of blinking
would change when other electrical components were turned on or off.
In my case the fix was cheap -- a new turn signal flasher. It could
also be a failing alternator or voltage regulator.
