<E30> Where to buy cat. for 86 325es. Performance?

I need to replace the cat. on my 86 325es, and BMW
wants a grand for a new one.  Well $1000 will go a
long way elsewhere.  I.E.- Antisway bars, tires,
etc...

Any suggestions on brands?  I have an ANSA rear
exhaust, but would be willing to replace the whole
thing if it's really worth it.
