<E36> Strange noise when turning hard.

Hi Group,

There is a strange noise when making a hard turn. It seems to be coming from
the front wheels. It sounds like few thuds. The car is E36 318i manual with
61k miles. There is some fine sand on the roads here in Atlanta put during
the "snow days", could that be the cause? Or is it the suspensions!

Any inputs will be appreciated.
