E46: In dash CD skip?

Anyone have any issues with the in-dash CD player on an E46 (or otherwise?). 
  It seems that when it drops below freezing (especially when really cold 
~16F), any little bump causes the CD to skip.  This seems especially odd 
since I would have thought it would be as good as the change in my E36 which 
skipped about 3 times in the 6 yrs I owned it.
