Re: dim alternator light while running



Raymond,

I had the same problem with my E30 318i.  It was a problem with the wiring, 
not the alternator.  The short ground wire (from the alternator bracket to 
the engine block) was replaced, as was the wire from the output of the 
alternator to the battery, and everything is now fine.

Wire is _much_ cheaper than a new alternator!  :-)
