RE: 323 to 2.7l swap



If you still have the 323 engine and it is in decent condition, 
try using the 323 head with the 2.7l bottom end.  Perhaps slap a
325i camshaft in there for good measure.  If I remember correctly
from Metric Mechanic's web page, a 323 head is more-or-less 
interchangeable with a 325e head (aside from needing to drill out
additional passages for oiling the three extra cam bearings).
