I just want to thank all you people who understand my frustration, I did also 
own an E 30 325es, that car was close to perfect, 5 years and over 100Kmiles 
and no problems, but my newer BMWs have been a nightmare. I never took my 
325es to a dealer (well I did once, they quoted me for $1600, yes $1600 for 
fixing brake lining warning light, didn't let them do the work though).

 Ps: Maybe the reason that my E30 was so trouble free is because it was never 
touched by a BMW dealer mechanic. with all the horror stories that we hear 
(and experience) about the BMW dealers, the phrase "DEALER SERVICED" should 
be a negative point in buying a car.
