Re: heavy left foot
Dear Alex:
I have a printed ADAC German magazine (10/95) "ADAC is somehow equal to AAA
in US" but they do more work than the AAA, and in it clearly says that the
BMW 3 series have clutch problem and BMW knows it and BMW is working on new
materials. this comming from a company that claims has been manufacturing
automobils for over 75 years is unacceptable, and if they know that the
clutch is defective they have to take care of their mistake by covering it
under warranty.
It's been a common practice for BMW to experiment on different ideas and
designes at the costumers expence, here are a few clear examples , the M42
1.8 litter engines with the failing gasket, the sulphur problem with the 4.0
litter V8s , the twisting transmission on 95 M3s, the bolts on the M20
cylinder heads, and least and not the last the clutch linning material in 3
series.who knows what comes next.
BMW has a LOT to learn from Japanese manufacturers in quality, designe,
material and workmanship. and most important of all COSTUMER SERVICE which
they lack sevierly.
Regards,
Henry A.
