Driving Ethics 101

I have written this e-mail to remind you all about how
to drive, and considerations toward others. I have
gotten fed up with people, BMW drivers in particular,
and their driving styles. I am a BMW driver, and it's
a disgrace to me, and it gives all the other, good,
BMW drivers a bad name. This can also be transferred
over to people who drive non-stock Hondas, Acuras,
Jeep Grand Cherokees, Ford Explorers (and anything
larger), hell, most SUV's while I'm at it.

To start with, Turn Signals. Last time I checked, BMW
is still putting them on cars. It's bad enough to get
cut off, but you can at least have the decency to
signal. It's that little lever on the left-hand side
of the steering column. Still confused, it's the same
lever that is used for the high beams, which so many
of you seem to know so well. Now time for a lesson.
Push the lever up to signal right, and vice versa to
signal down. Oh and be sure to turn it off when
you're done, that's annoying too. And you people who
conveniently turn on the right and go left, grow up!

Head Lights. What is with the Xeon and the super
whites. Do you really need that much light on the
road. I know out here in CA there's so much light on
the road that you can drive with your lights off. So
is there really any need to blind the people in front
of you? And nothing is more annoying than having a
blue light blind you.

Brake Lights. If they weren't automatically
triggered, most of you wouldn't use them. But most of
you over use them. Try down shifting in traffic, yes
even you people with the automatics can down shift
too. And you people who tap the brakes, but don't
actually press the petal down, it gets really annoying
being behind you with red flashing in your face for no
apparent reason. And your brakes will last longer
too!

Lights In General: Besides using them, CHECK THEM!
When was the last time you checked to make sure all
your lights worked? Especially if your turn signal is
blinking faster than normal. That's a sure tell sign
that you have a bulb out. And since these are BMW's,
it'll usually tell you when you have a light out too.
Good idea to check them when you fill the tires, or do
you not do that too? Attention ford users. Fords
tend to have a high rate of broken lights. Why you
ask? It's a FORD damnit! No more questions.

Mufflers. Now while this isn't necessarily a problem
with BMW drivers, it still bugs me. Does your muffler
really need to put out that much noise. You can wake
the dead with those things. Or kill people with them
too.

Carpool, Diamond, or HOV lanes, whatever you want to
call them. These are intended for a minimum number of
people. Usually 2 to 3. Often I see less. Your dick
does not count as a second person, as much as you may
considering it being another person, it's not. And
ever notice the double yellow line. That's intended
to not be crossed. It's really nice and annoying when
you're cut off by someone who illegally crossed the
double yellow line, without a signal of course!

I've classified BMW drivers into 2 categories. First
off, the one that most of the people on this digest
are. Male, and who care about their car, DUH, that's
why we're here. Then there's the other category.
Simply put, the wife's car! It's just something that
gets them from point A to point B. Please check their
lights and other essential items. And tell them NOT
to do 50 in the fast lane. And also to pay attention
to the road and not their nails, hair, etc.

And while I'm on the subject of distractions, let's
get to cell phones. Your car is not a telephone
booth, nor is it a restaurant. Pay attention to the
road. Or maybe the brain cancer that you're getting.
You're not supposed to stand near the microwave when
it's on, and that's what a cell phone is based on.
Next time you are driving along not paying attention,
and have someone come up behind you, flash their
lights, point to his eyes, then to the road, that's me
telling you to pay attention to the road. Ever wonder
why BMW's don't come with many drink holders, get the
point. Pay attention to the road stupid.

This next area really covers two areas. Cutting off
and Mirrors. How are they linked? Usually when I'm
cut off, without a signal of course, I never see the
person look into their mirror. Is this linked
somehow, probably, but I'll let you figure it out.
Gee and why do you get so pissed off when I cut you
off back. Is it the birdie I have flying?

Tailgating. Oh do I have fun with these people.
Especially when they're right on my ass, I just hit
the brakes nice and hard, and watch them fish tail.
Is it really necessary to do that, you're not going to
get where you want to go any faster.

Fancy, shitty driving. For you who think it's cool to
cut across lanes and medians even drive on the
shoulder, give it up. It just looks stupid. When was
the last time you checked the size of your dick?
Pretty small isn't it?

People with SUV's. Where to start with them. If you
can afford the gas for them, then you have way too
much money. Give me the money and I'll drive your
kids around. And I can't help but laugh when you try
to park those things. If you're able to get it in the
space, you're unlikely to be able to get out the
doors.

I think I'm done ranting for the time being, enjoy!
And remember, don't bitch about this letter while
driving.

A message board has been set up for you to reply to
this letter, and to place other complaints. I'm
curious to see what others have to say.
