<E28> Running rich .....

OK, folks!  I'm at my wit's end!
This car is loving gasoline!

Back in the summer, I started having problems with my '85 535i.
At that time I checked all the temperature sensors - replaced a few 
hoses that had leaks - replaced the idle control valve - spark plugs 
- - rotor button - distributor cap - fuel filter - air filter.  The 
oxygen sensor is functioning.

The car continues to drink gasoline - compared to its previous 
mid-20-mpg average.  It's around 16-18 mpg.

Any clues/suggestions/ideas on where else to look?
