RE: Replace alternator, now check engine light

Follow the BMW FAQ procedure for checking DME error codes:
http://cbsgi2.bu.edu/bmw/FAQ.7  (chapter 7.1.8).  
It will be a lot easier to resolve a 'check engine light' problems once you
find out what the problem is.
