Re: Blizzak vs. Michelin Artic Alpin

Jay,

I was just looking at snow/winter tires on Tire Rack's website, and they
have a comparison test between the Blizzak MZ-01, Pilot Alpin, and Pirelli
Asimmetrico Ice:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/icebox99_rd.htm

On ice, the Blizzak was the _clear_ winner. On dry roads, the Blizzak came
in third. The Pirelli came in second on ice, and was the best on dry roads,
so it may be your best choice. Price-wise, Pirelli was the most expensive,
Blizzak was the cheapest. For a set of four (based on current posted prices
for 205/55QR16) it's $400 for Blizzak, $404 for Michelin, and $452 for
Pirelli.

Good luck,

- -rb
