M Coupe vs M3 Coupe 0-60

Does anyone know why the M Coupe has a faster 0 - 60 time than the M3 coupe?
according to BMW,

M Coupe 5.1
M3 Coupe 5.7

both have the same engine, same HP/Torque ratings, same gearing, and almost
the same wieght, the M Coupe is lighter by ~50 lbs.

Some have said that the HP rating for an M Coupe is severely underrated due
to the exhaust and intake.  I guess I am just curious if this is the case.
