Foot-well heating E32 (?)

Hi,

It's getting colder here in southern
Germany, and it seems that the passenger
side foot-well vent won't open. No hot
air for my wife's feet. Any ideas?

I've taken dashes apart before without
much luck of getting it back together
tightly (1982 Olds Omega). Should I
just go to the dealer? I do like pulling
things apart though...

I've got a '90 730i. It's got seperate
temperature wheels for each side, and
one for the blower.
