Good mechanic in NYC

Any thoughts on the best shop for general maintenance of an e30 in the NYC
area?  Presently using Autobahn Service, and am pretty happy, except for the
annoying habit of charging 40-75% more for parts than Bavarian Auto prices.
I understand a little mark up for handling from their suppliers, but
Bavarian also has to go to that trouble.  I liked the dealership (BMW of
Manhattan), but had trouble getting service appointments, and didn't like
their parts prices either.  What to do?
