Michellin Pilot Sport vs SX GT

My 97 M3 has 27K miles on it, and the rear stock Michelins Pilot MXX3
are ready to be replaced.
I was told though, that the MXX3 is discontinued.

Anyone has any suggestions as to which tires to get? The front MXX3s are
half-worn.

The rear tires need to match, I imagine the front as much as possible.
Is the Pilot Sport a good choice? Or the SX GT, which has a lower speed
rating, but its tread looks a lot more like the MXX3?

Anyone had any positive/negative experience on either tires?
