E34 2 litre rear disc specs ?

A strange scraping noise from the rear prompted a look at the rear disks. The
pads are shot but the backing plat is not touching (yet).
the disk looks thin. Any ideas on how thick the disk/rotor should be on the E34
2 litre touring UK spec. ?
the noise has "gone away"
