PAHRUMP OPEN TRACK EVENT
October 9-10, 1999

EVENT DESCRIPTION
This is NOT a "school." It is an open track event, which will allow you
to get plenty of seat time in a controlled environment. Open only to
experienced drivers.

PRE-REGISTRATION (Required),
When I receive your check, your place on the queue will be confirmed.
Numbers will be limited.

Send a check for $200 (two days) or $100(one day, specify Saturday or
Sunday) made payable to :
Monty Sidhu
2395 N. Rancho Road
Las Vegas, NV 89130

CANCELATIONS
In case you need to cancel, let me know at least 1 week ahead of time. I
will refund all but $20 of your money if you let me know by 2, October.
After that, no refunds.
We will have committed to the track. In the unlikely event of heavy
snow (you never know), I suspect that the track would let us all off the
hook, but no promises there.

LODGING IN PAHRUMP
Pahrump Station Days Inn 775-727-5100
Saddle West Hotel & Casino1-800-Geddy-UP

FOOD NOT AT TRACK
Good dinners as well as fast food is available in Pahrump. There are
all the major gas stations, including Chevron and Gulf. Pahrump has
mechanics and tire services, and medical services as well.

SAFETY INSPECTON
Your car will be checked for safety before you are allowed on the
track. This tech inspection is NOT to be considered an excuse to arrive
with your car unprepared. It is just a last minute check for loose
items (which must all be removed, glove box and spare included), tied
down battery, tightened lug nuts, good tires, etc. Helmet must be rated
at least SA or M 90.

RELEASE
You will be expected to sign a RELEASE which exonerates EVERYONE from
liability. This will be a very safely run event, but driving cars at
high speed on a track can be risky business, and you will be expected to
take responsibility for yourself and your car. If you hit someone else,
and it is construed as being avoidable negligence, you may find yourself
responsible for their loss. Be careful out there!

SCHEDULE
Be at the track Saturday at or before 8am. The track is approximately 2
miles South of Pahrump, on the East side of the two lane road. Look for
the white bubble buildings.

THE TRACK
Here are some facts about the Spring Mountain Motor Sports Park in
Pahrump.

It is a private track that was built by Rupert and Anne Bragg-Smith, for
the main purpose of conducting their Corvette/Viper/Camaro driving
schools. The track is also available for private rental, and since it
only opened a few months ago, it is still relatively unknown, and
therefore available. For those of us who have run on this track, it is
a secret gold mine. 2.2miles, 16 turns (depending on the
configuration), lots of elevation changes, big sweepers, fast
straights; it is a very technical and fun track. A small map, and a
description of Rupert's school can be seen at their Web site:

http://www.bragg-smith.com/index.html

The actual name of the track is "Spring Mountain Motor Sports Park,"
located about 2 miles south of Pahrump, which has several casinos and
hotels, with some pretty good restaurants. The Nevada buffets are
amazing; huge assortment of food for very little money. They want you to
spend your money in the casino, of course, but after a full day at
Spring Mountain, you won't have much time or energy left for gambling .
