Portland Area Chapter BMW ACA Sept 24 @ Portland International Raceway

The program will include Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and High Performance
Sessions (Must have SCCA license or equivalent credentials for High
Performance). And as always, lunch is included free of charge.

Pre-registration: Sign up early and send in payment to guarantee a spot.

Track Day Tech inspection: 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 (Tech on weekdays will continue
to noon. If you are coming in later than 8:30 you will be required to go
through a short individual drivers meeting. You may also be assigned a
instructor depending on your driving ability.)

Before going out on track: All loose articles in car must be removed from
the interior and trunk. This includes any floormats that are not fastened to
the carpets. All hub caps and removable wheel covers must be removed. (Left
on, they may come off on the track and create a hazard.)

Mandatory Drivers Meeting: 8:45 a.m. and 12:30. You must attend a drivers
meeting before you drive.

Cost: $85.00 plus $15 per extra driver. Price at the door and
preregistration is the same.
Membership and Identification: You must be a current member of one of the
Tri-Clubs to drive. (BMW Club membership fee is $35.) Membership I.D., a
valid driver's license, and insurance carrier and policy number are
required.

General requirements and safety regulations: You and your passenger must
wear a Snell 85 or later approved helmet. Roll bars or factory roll over
protection is required for convertibles, T-tops and open cars. A fire
extinguisher is requested but not required. If you have one it must be
mounted securely in your car. Brakes must be in good condition. Fresh brake
fluid is recommended. Tires must be in good condition and properly inflated.
Wheel bearings and all suspension components must be in top condition. Wheel
lugs should be tightened to manual specs. Motor mounts and battery must be
secure. All cars must have a combination seat belt/shoulder belt and MUST be
worn by the driver and passenger. --- Maximum one passenger per car. No one
under 18 allowed on track or in any hazardous areas.
