E28 A/C question

Howdy all,

I have a quick one for you.  The A/C quit on my '86 528e.  Following the wiring
diagram in Bentley's, I narrowed it down the A/C switch in the dash.  Is this a
common point of failure?  The system stop when I changed the fan speed from II to
III. All the fuses are good.  I am a little suspect of the switch being the only
problem.  Any thoughts?
