1994 740i Air bag and SRS sensor

The mechanic says the passenger side airbag ($1300) and the SRS sensor
($450) need replacing.

The labor is only 2.5 hours total, so I was wondering if this was something
I could tackle?  Any special tools required?  Is there a manual available
that details this repair?  Can I get used air bag parts?  Where?  $1200 for
an airbag seems kinda high.

We bought this car last year at 54,000 miles.  Are these parts still under
warranty?  Wasn't the warranty on this car 60,000 miles?
