Problem with electric window

Have problem with electric window on E30 passenger door. According to the
Bentley manual, the motor works off of reverse polarity to row the down or
up. The window rows down fine, but drags rowing up and sometimes won't row
up at all. I suspect the problem to be in the switch. The electrical diagram
shows five leads going to the switch, one hot wire, two wires going to the
window motor and two grounds. I'm figuring the second ground is for the
reverse polarity mentioned above. If my guess is right, on of the grounds is
getting a bad connection. The manual state that the switch can be pop out of
the console. Has anyone else had a similar problem and can the switch be
popped out without taking the console apart? A friend of my suspects the
problem is in the window track. I hope he is wrong because I would hate to
have to go into the door itself.
