E-30's Frame

Ok here is my deal. I used to have a 85' 325e with many mods. Then some
lady hit me totaling my car. So now I plan to bulid the BMW that I
really want. The 325e had so many mods I want to stay with the same year
car. I'm going to use the parts off the car that weren't damaged. I'm
going to stay with the 2.7 eta motor but put the "i" cam and "i" valve
springs. So that means I'm going to need a new frame to drop that motor
into. I was just wanted to know were I should look for a frame? Can I
buy a 318 and then drop my old motor in that car? The chasis is the same
right? Should I just buy a high mileage car and pull that motor. I will
compleately rebuild the motor. I also would like to port and polsh the
heads. ShouldI use "i" valves? Any help that you can give would be
great.
