front shocks 535is/E-28 series

Hey list,
Is there a difference in the front shocks inserts between a 88535IS and a
535I  E-28 series.I have been told the 535IS has the same as the M-5.I've
also been told the 535IS inserts are different from the 535I and the M-5.The
read-out on my 535IS stated sport suspension.Anybody been there before?Help!
