Brent,
BTDT. On my '95 the hood switch cable was hard to find too. It's shoved
waaaay up behind the carrier that holds all the electronic modules. You'll
just have to reach up there and feel around for a loose connector.
If you have the full OBC, then the plug you are looking for is already
plugged into the OBC horn. That's what you are hearing when the alarm arms.
This is not obvious at all from the manual. You could just leave it like
that, but if you want the siren you'll have to transfer the plug from the
horn to the siren. The horn is accessible by removing the sheetmetal cover
which you see when you look straight down behind the passenger side headlight.
