SRS reset

I recently disconnected one of the shock sensors in the engine compartment.
The fault light then promptly indicated a SRS problem. My problem now is
that
with the sensor reconnected the SRS light stays on, flashes for about 5 min
then
stays on steady. Anyone know how to reset the system?
