Has anyone installed a six speed trans. in the US M-3 E36 ?
I find myself almost "reaching" for another gear at highway speeds.
With 5th being 1:1, the engine is turning 4K rpm's at 90.
Has anyone installed a trans from a 540i (6 speed).
Would it mate to the M3 bellhousing ?
Would I be able to use the stock M3 clutch ?
What about driveshaft length, would I need to modify ?
Finally, what about cost ?
