E30 Intermittent Engine problem

I have a 1985 318i (200k) which will start fine and run for about 5 - 10
minutes and then abruptly shutdown, it will restart immediately and run
for another 5 - 10 minutes at which point it will shutdown again. At
this point it will not restart for about 30 - 40 minutes. Both fuel
pumps were replaced about 1 year ago. Any suggestions?
