MaZe -
Burning a quart every 3,000 miles is not bad for a car
with 160K on the clock. However, if it bothers you, you
can probably reduce it with a valve job - much of the
oil being consumed flows past the seals and valve
guides. (The rest flows past the rings, a more expensive
repair, or thru the smog control system - if you have
one.)

Hi All!
would you consider a oilconsumption of 500ml every 5 weeks/2500km normal
for
a '86 320i 6cyl 280000km LPG?
