735i Stall/Steer Problem

Even on warm days, a sudden pressure to the gas pedal will result in
stuttering of the engine and problems accelerating. Periodic flashing of
"Check Engine Light" accompanies the anomaly. Putting the car in Neutral
and revving the engine seems to solve it for the moment, but a more
permanent solution is requested. Also, on cold days, turning becomes
near impossible, with much manpower needed to turn the wheel at all.
