M3 roadster mirror

Has anyone else had a problem with the rear view mirror of the M3
roadster? I find that it obstructs a significant portion of the forward
view, especially when making a right turn. Other than removing it
entirely, I was wondering whether any aftermarket alternatives are out
there. My '60 MGA has a nice tiny little rear view mirror which attaches
to the dash. Probably not legal anymore on a new car, but something
similar would be nice.
