<E30> Odd headlight flash



Steve,

Actually, the power doesn't cut out to the cigarette lighter.  What
happens is, when you flash the high beams, the system voltage
momentarily drops below 12V.  This is generally the cutoff for radar
detectors, so when the voltage goes back up, the detector powers up
again.

If you have a V1, send it back to Valentine for a (free) fix.  They
throw a capacitor in there to dampen out the voltage.
