How do I replace the Pressure Accumulator ("Nitrogen Ball")
on my 1986 535i?
I was told that it's totally easy and all I had to do was unscrew it and
screw in the other one. But when I went to look closely, there are too
many hoses and wires and whatnot around the accumulator to get at
it easily. The shock tower is on one side, the firewall on another, and
the master cylinder on another. It looks like I will have to take off the
pressure regulator in order to replace the pressure accumulator... This
means I need to remove about 3 high pressure and 2 low pressure
hoses from the regulator. Not as easy as I thought! Has anyone
replaced the accumulator without taking off the pressure regulator?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
