Yes, you need to wear shoes. :-) OK, if you meant do you need driving
shoes, the answer is no. Any flat-soled shoe, like an athletic shoe should
do just fine. Make sure they're comfortable - you'll probably spend some
amount of time standing around on. Personally, I find I have better
control when I'm wearing my tennies than when I have my heavy butt-kickin'
boots on, but whatever you're used to is probably OK.
About gloves - it's all up to you. If you like driving with gloves on,
bring your gloves. If your hands sweat so much your steering wheel gets
all slippery, you might want to wear gloves. If you don't sweat, or don't
like to wear gloves, don't bring them....
