In all seriousness Jeff, thanks for the input.  I wonder how much torque the
ZF 310z/320z is supposed to take, but from what Karl @ Active tells me,
they have not been able to blow up a 5spd ZF box yet, even powershifting
and clutch dumping 515 hp motors + nitrous.

Well, the did say they've destroyed all sorts of clutches and diffs, but
that's just a function of ridiculous torque.  If you go stage-ludicrous and
beyond.  Some people are insatiable?
;-)

I talked with Leo Franchi at length tonight also, his belief echos your
Group N contacts in that the 6 speed is no stronger than the 5 speed.
