Willow Springs, Intl raceway , California.

In the first Club race of the 1999 season , on The west coast, James Sofronas,
won both races , Qualifying on the pole both days and driving to overall
victories on both days, In the EuroSport Engineering,Inc. /ESE  E36 M3
Lightweight

With a very hard charge by Bill Bentzen in his E30 M3.. Bentzen gave  James A
run for his money both days.

But perhaps the most entertaining race was a bit further back in the pack ,
where 3 e36 m3 's battled it out.. Doug Ota, Doug Cambell,and Paul Portiuos,
swapped positions throughout the entire race on saturday.Porteous driving his
new E36 M3 lightweight with euro motor and sequntial gearbox, Ota driving his
95 m3 prepped by eurosport engineering, and cambell driving his T2 M3,
sponsored by Kinesis wheels.

overall it was a very enteratining and fun weekend , and with the new
students, gettng there club licenses it will be a very  interesting 99 racing
season...on the west coast
