Dead Battery

This past saturday the 3 year old battery on my M3 died. In the morning the
car started fine. When I went out again, it hesitated to start. Then about 2
hours later it would not start at all. Now the battery won't even hold a
charge and when the car is running all the lights are still very dim. Nothing
was left on to drain the battery. Any ideas before the car gets to the dealer
($$$)  ????
