I don't recommend use of either the hollow cam, or the 116 head
re-machined to fit an over-cam oiler rail. These heads commonly cracked in
the cam area, and the cams would crack anywhere along their length.
Do not use the valve cover from an early 116 head as it did not have a
"blow-by" hose port coming from it. Blow-by venting was done at the
dip-stick tube.
One club member tried it at the track for a lap and the entire cam cover
came apart.
