M635Csi Battery or Starter Solenoid

After a prolonged visit to the BMW shop (3 months - don't ask), my car came
back with a dead battery. The car started once after charging overnight (the
battery charger didn't show that the battery had fully charged), with the
charger in jump start (~100amp) position. Since charging the battery for two
days, the charger says the battery is charged, but the starter spins without
the solenoid engaging, without the charger attached, or with the charger
attached and in jump start mode.

So, is it the battery, or the starter solenoid?
