Alarm Question

     Hi folks-

I spoke with a local alarm installer inquiring about a new aftermarket
alarm for my '99 M3 coupe. He was very helpful and prompted me to
explain exactly what features I wanted instead of trying to sell me
the $1000 talking alarm that calls home when lonely, monitors the
kids' bedroom and makes coffee if carjacked. One of the features that
I told him I was interested in having was the auto window/sunroof
close on locking the doors/arming the system. Now, as far as I know,
and correct me if I am wrong, this feature and all necessary relays
     are factory standard?

Now, forgive my technical ignorance, but this is what he tried to
     convince me:

Activating this feature through most alarms will put too large a power
drain on the system and cause the alarm to trigger a protection mode.
He said he found that most alarm systems on the market can't handle
this well. He said this holds true for Cliffords, DEIs, Ungos, etc...
Now, he said it doesn't necessarily mean that this feature won't work-
it just won't work safely or all the time. Thus, he recommends
     forgoing this option.

Does this sound left-fieldish or what?

Anyone have recommendations for a car alarm specialist in the CT/MA
     area? :)

     Thanks,
     Devin
