E34 expansion reservoir removal, please help

I recall there were discussions regarding fixing a leaking
expansion reservoir in the digest some time ago, but cannot
find those posts anymore. My plan is to replace either the
o-ring seals between the reservoir and the radiator or
then the whole reservoir. If you have any info on the 
matter, please advise.
