Bon Ami will remove Rain-X, as will acetone (which removes paint even better if you overshoot the windshield with the cloth). Move the acetone soaked cloth s-l-o-w-l-y across the windshield so the wet cloth stays in contact with the Rain-X for a second or so and it will be gone.
